”A nice modern hotel. Clean and comfortable on a main road that will allow you to travel out to a bunch of different riding and hiking spots conveniently. Staff were friendly and as mentioned it was lovely and clean. Only recommendation would be to bring some earplugs if you’re a light sleeper and you happen to be in a room looking out on to the road. The windows are thick but seemingly not enough to block out noise from passing vehicles. ”

”Clean but dated room. Had trouble with noisy neighbours and the night porter tried to sort it but wasnt to be....however the manageress Gillian was great sorting a free replacement stay. ”

”I have stayed at the Peacock a few times now as the location is stunning and the rooms never fail to disappoint. They are clean and the bathrooms always have the wow factor. The food in the restaurant is also great, the only downside was the service, we didn’t get our wine for over half an hour and had to ask three times for it from different staff. However I will be back again! ”

”Our overnight stay was excellent. Check in was really simple and the host really friendly. Our room was spacious and clean with a lovely comfy bed and well designed ensuite shower room. A nice light and airy room. Breakfast was superb and piping hot. No complaints at all. Would highly recommend. ”

”Room was adequate, the heated towel rail was on the other side of the bedroom wall so the bedroom was uncomfortably hot, even at night - but the wife preferred this. The bed was quite firm and a good size. It was difficult to view the TV screen from the settee on the back wall. Tea (Yorkshire) and coffees were plentiful - not so much biscuits. Full English, plus cereals, juice, toast and tea/coffee refills welcome.”

”Loved my stay! The staff was super friendly and nice, felt very welcomed. The room was comfortable and clean. Parking was easy and convenient. The breakfast was perfect, I also dinned in the restaurant and loved everything. Banana Toffee Waffle dessert is well worth the calories!”
