”The stay started out so well with messages from my host, and it was such a beautiful place. I spent a lot of time sleeping in because of the comfy bed, I toyed around in the kitchen, and spent time in the backyard for reflection. The location is perfect, and I didn’t need to drive. It was the best stay I’ve ever had.”

”Close to highway to get to everything quickly, great coffee shop, pizzeria and bar on 1st floor, brewery and distillery right next door. Clean place and great communication with owner. Will definitely rent again when i come back to Newport News!!”

”Enjoyed our stay. Great, quiet location. Parking was challenging on occasion, but doable. Easy access to the building, although the key fob went missing once, it was resolved quickly. Per the previous comments, I was aware the sofa bed wouldn't be the most comfortable for sleeping, but we made do just fine. Communication was excellent. Enjoyed it so much, we extended our stay.”

”Place was really nice. Could definitely use some more furniture for sitting in the living room. Huge empty room with a small couch and small decorative chair. The couch bed was not comfortable at all, and only fits one person.wish I went with a 2 bedroom. Needs more mirrors, and some hooks in the bathroom for towels or clothes. Other than that it a nice stay.”

”The apartment was perfect, nice size and clean. A perfect location to Williamsburg, Bush Gardens, and Water Country. Located in a quiet community and the apartment looks out on the lake. If we are in the area again, we will definitely stay there again. The host was nice and prompt with answers to our questions. A nice restaurant within the community too”

”The place was super clean. Very nice. It was me, my brother and Sparky the dog. It's a very nice neighborhood. A little too much traffic for long dog walks but there are plenty of great parks nearby. There's a very cute store right next door. It was centrally located to every where we wanted to be. Again, very good neighborhood and amazingly clean and bright space.”

”The stay was for our 50 Anniversary not for a 90 minute presentation. I should have look at the fine print did not sign up for presentation. Disappointed in that part of the trip but the staff was wonderful. Please tell customers in advance about this.”

”The house is just as shown in the pictures. I was a little disappointed that there was no Ms Pacman video game, but that didn't ruin our stay. Communication was excellent. I would recommend this house to others. ”

”Give yourself 24 hours to settle in. We arrived in perfect weather for a 4 day respite and only for one day, with land breezes, did we experience some pesky flies. The fresh salt air, wide star-lit skies, 24/7 quiet and mesmerizing moon-glow off the waters, 360 degrees worth, more than make up for any such small annoyance. There is some history to appreciate about the island and the cottage. When you find yourself first thing in the morning checking the tide schedules, you will then realize...

If you want to see the weather from the window...

"This hotel was half empty and they gave us a room with the view to the brick wall, even we stayed there for three nights. The bed was good. Next time when visiting Newport News, I'll take my business elsewhere. "
