”Excellent location in charming countryside and just a short drive to Witney and Burford. Staff were helpful and welcoming. Historic property with traditional pub feel, a log fire, cosy armchairs and nice gardens. Food in the pub was standard pub fare, fairly average and expensive but you are paying for the location. ”It’s a lovely place to stay. We were in the annexe, room was really large, sitting room then up a bit to bedroom and bathroom jut off that room. Staff in bar on the slow side, had to be found to get served. Evening meal was good (even though 6oz steak! Had soup to start but no spoon supplied so used desert spoon. No steak knives either so ploughed through with just a normal knife. Possibly not quite four star, but would stay again. ”
