”Came for the skiing over NY but not able to due to warm weather. Faculties at the hotel were great and it was clean and comfortable. It is within walking distance of all the restaurants and bars on the Main Street. Great location to travel to activities but a car is recommended. ”We enjoyed our three day break at Nethybridge very much in this fine old hotel. Even though it’s looking a bit tired in places, it makes up for any shortcomings with bags of character and first class, friendly and professional staff. The room and bathroom were really spacious and comfortable and the buffet breakfast caters for all tastes and is delicious. ”Overall a very comfortable experience. This is the second time we stayed in Macdonald's hotel, opted for half board and loved our meals everynight. Breakfast was great, would be nice to have meatfree options for vegetarians, even if not in buffet but can offer to prepare it if requested, still loved scones and beans and pancakes, kind and caring staff.”

There was plenty of information available on local attractions but the best was just talking to Diane herself. A good breakfast. They are proud of their porridge ( and rightly so ) sets you up for the day. There are places in the village to get food. This is a small village so no high street brands but whilst more restricted in the winter months there is still a choice. With a free public car park...
