”Wow wow wow what an incredible experience!! Everything at River Lodge was just amazing, all of the staff are so friendly and the food is delicious, you get to pick from a set menu for each meal which changes each day and all drinks are included. The absolute highlight though is the safari itself, you get 2x 3 hour drives a day which go so quickly. Our guide Phillip and his tracker Kulani were absolutely incredible, they made sure we saw all the animals and got us really close to them. Phillip...

”Absolutely incredible!!! The trip of a lifetime and are already planning a trip back next year! I can’t express enough how incredible and knowledgeable the staff were and how you felt like you were at home. Nossos bangalôs (11 e 12) eram os mais distantes (500m até o prédio principal ) , nosso carro de Safari o mais velho e até a mesa designada nas refeições era a pior localizada . ”

”Picked imbali as a good place for a short 3 day safari. Food portions were large and of good quality . There are some areas where the wood at the lodge and around the property need some replacement but overall didn’t detract from a lovely setting . Watering hole for elephants is directly opposite the restaurant area so good for breakfast and lunch . Safari drives were good and Jayden did a great job for us . Would have been nice to have a transfer from local airport Skukuza included in the cost...

”We had a major problem in our room and that ants spiders and mosquitoes were in the room. The main door is not sealed property, allowing for these insects to enter. Staff could not find a solution for this problem.”

”Arrival welcome After a 3.5hr drive from Jberg with mostly highway but around 30km of dirt track we arrived at Letamo initially, the sister lodge. Make sure to book with a reputable transfer company as the dirt track is a challenging drive. After a beer in the bar at Letamo our dedicated ranger Sam picked us up in the land cruiser and took us over to Babohi, it was quite a nice touch to get a transfer over to Babohi with our guide and become acquainted. ”We loved our stay. The room was spacious, clean and had a well equipped kitchen. The garden and playground for the kids were perfect for hanging out and breakfast was good too. Service was friendly. The only shortcoming was the lack of braai facilities; the only braai was being used by another family so we had to change our evening plans at last minute.”
