”The hotel is lovely and in a great location. Easy walk to town. Breakfast was great and staff friendly. The only negative was the shower. There was no hand unit so showering was a little uncomfortable.”

”What a lovely quiet area with lots of walks but close to towns and villages with things to do and see. The grounds were well looked after and usable by our dog as was a good part of the restaurant. The 2 crowning glories though were: the food which was of a high standard being well cooked and presented and the staff who were really welcoming and friendly throughout, knowlegeable about the food on offer and well paced with the ordering and delivery of the food. ”

”The owners were exceptionally nice and helpful. The interiors of all the rooms, lounge and dining area were wonderful, demonstrating a real flair. Bed linen, towels etc felt like they were new. We stayed three nights and would have been happy to have stayed 33. ”

”So thrilled to have found this little gem. Needed an overnight stay near Monmouth, we stayed on Boxing Day evening, with our dog. Beautiful room , We ate in the bar, food first class. I imagine we will pay another visit if in the area. ”

”One of the showers was a little too hot for some of our tastes. The double bed was very hard and difficult to sleep, but it was also very warm whilst we were there. The owners were really communicative before our stay and when we got there. They left us some bread, milk and essentials which was really appreciated. The cottage was warm clean and comfortable and perfect for what we needed in our two night stay. We were going to Cardiff for the speedway so the location was a little far away and...
