”After several days in rural Vietnam in wonderful home stays this was a great change. A fabulous location in a well maintained resort with stunning views from our 14th floor balcony of two private beaches. Buffet breakfast was great and the staff was wonderful. Cat Ba city beach front was completely under construction with the Party engaging in a massive building project filling land for a new project right in front of the present beach. ”We enjoyed our room and the facilities, including the pool. However, we found the food was lacking in quality. Our room wasn't properly cleaned when we arrived (there was someone else's underwear on the floor and the mugs were not clean) and we had to ask the staff to clean it again. That being said, the staff were extremely helpful and kind. They definitely made the stay better. We apparently came during "off season" which made the whole area seem like a ghost town. We did find some good places...

”Hotel is very new with nice big indoor and outdoor pools. I got a panoramic, unobstructed view of the ocean from my room. The room is spacious and modern. The hotel staff was also very friendly. One minor thing is that the hot water didn’t work well. The water was hot for the first 2 minutes then it’s more like room temperature. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay. ”
