”Overall, a newly renovated building with friendly service, but I was disappointed about some aspects of the renovation which was not professionally done. The vent/furnace was very loud when it was running, and there was some on and off noise at night coming from the upper floor, which sounded like wood floor cracks, or something behind the wall. I was surprised that a newly renovated building had those issues. Other than that, I was satisfied with our stay.”

The town is extremely quiet, so we arrived with a personal note on the note addressed to us, front door unlocked, and key in the door of our room. ”The house has a very homey feel to it. It feels like you're staying at your grandparents' house. We loved the hot tub and made good use of it. The heat worked real well. A couple notes/ suggestions. Ad needs to be changed about what is provided. Ad says no toilet paper, trash bags, paper towels, dishwasher pods or trash bags. But all those items were actually proved in the welcome basket, so I needlessly packed them. I was pleasantly surprised that although not provided, other tenants...

”Our family had a great time staying at the Refuge. There was plenty of space for both sets of grand parents, our kids, and us. The house was beautiful and was even decorated for the holidays. The close proximity to Deep Creek and state parks, along with the heated pool made it a great stay. We will definitely be back.”
